The H1N1 Flu (also known as Swine Flu) outbreak caused serious, widespread concern last Spring. This was a new mutation of the influenza virus and it was not initially known how it was transmitted or the severity of symptoms once contracted. We now know that it is transmitted from person to person much as the regular, seasonal flu is transmitted and the symptoms are often similar.
H1N1 flu remains a serious health concern and it is being tracked both nationally and internationally. I have included links to web pages hosted by the U.S Department of Health and Human Service, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) to keep you informed of the latest developments as well as general information about this disease.
