LOCAL FIRST RESPONDERS RECEIVE HOMELAND SECURITY GRANTS
Washington -U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that several area fire and police departments have received Commercial Equipment Direct Assistance Program grants through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The funds will allow for the purchase of safety and security equipment.
“By better equipping our first responders we enhance community safety,” said Costello. “I will continue to make sure that this funding is a priority of the federal government.”
