HIGHWAY 37 NORTH WATER DISTRICT RECEIVES $818,000 RECOVERY ACT LOAN

WASHINGTON - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Highway 37 North Water District has received an $818,000 loan as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The funds will be used to relocate water lines due to scheduled Illinois Department of Transportation improvements.

“This is a substantial investment that will help preserve water service in the area,” said Costello. “Water infrastructure improvements are among the most pressing needs across the country, particularly in rural areas. USDA resources are tremendously important to solving these problems.”
