Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC) has received a $254,586 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy. The funds will be used for a project titled, “Towards a Scalable and Adaptive Application Support Platform for Large-Scale Distributed E-Sciences in High Performance Network Environments.”
“Support for this type of project helps advance the academic mission of the University,” said Costello, a senior member of the House Science and Technology Committee. “As a nation, we must continue to invest in basic research as a means of educating our students and growing our economy.”
