COSTELLO ANNOUNCES HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES GRANT FOR BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF SOUTHWESTERN ILLINOIS

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Illinois, located in Belleville, has been awarded a $94,550 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for mentoring the children of prisoners.

“This is an important service for families, providing support during a particularly difficult time,” Costello said. “Mentoring can make a big difference in a child’s life.”
